Green Production
Yes, this CO2... and climate neutrality. I show here on this page how I contribute to environmental protection. Of course there are a few points that don't sound like environmental protection, but they are still worth mentioning and I think they are better!
1Used Items for Reviews
Almost all of the devices I use for my reviews are used and come from flea markets or platforms like eBay. Of course, some devices are old and can only be found second-hand. But buying used devices helps save resources and reduces the need for new production, which is often associated with high CO₂ emissions.

2Electricity from a combined heat and power plant
Our house has a combined heat and power plant (CHP) that generates environmentally friendly heat and electricity at the same time. This helps reduce CO₂ and ensures that my projects are implemented in the most sustainable way possible (if it works). A CHP works more efficiently than many conventional power sources because it uses waste heat that would otherwise be lost. We also have a solar system on the roof, which can be expanded in the future as our roof is expanded.

330 Year old Car istead of electric car
It just seemed like a good idea to go with the small 190E 2.6. And if something breaks, you can just repair it. Even though electric cars are often considered environmentally friendly, their production – especially of the batteries – is very resource-intensive. By keeping my car, I avoid unnecessary consumption of raw materials and rely on the longevity of a well-maintained vehicle. The longevity and repair of cars are an important part of sustainability!

4No printed scripts, thanks to iPad
To save paper, I no longer print out my presentation scripts. Instead, I use my iPad, on which I save all my notes digitally. This saves resources and reduces paper consumption. And even if I print something out, I use up my current paper first and switch to eco-friendly paper. In addition, I have a printer that uses ink bottles and does not need expensive/environmentally harmful cartridges.

5Restoration and maintenance of old equipment
On my YouTube channel, I also devote myself to restoring old devices. By giving them a new shine, I want to inspire others to repair things instead of throwing them away. In this way, we help reduce electronic waste and conserve valuable resources. Repairing and restoring are key to protecting the environment, as they reduce electronic waste and conserve resources.

6Fly consciously and carefully
I'm not completely ruling out air travel in the future, but I choose it very consciously and only on special occasions. Instead of flying on holiday every year, I've only flown once in my life so far. It's important to me to keep an eye on the impact on the environment and only use flights for experiences that are really special to me.

73D-Print with Filament from local suppliers
I use two 3D printers to produce many spare parts and other plastic components. The filament for this comes mostly from Prusa, a manufacturer in the Czech Republic. This keeps transport routes short and I can produce objects directly on site, which saves resources and reduces the CO₂ footprint from shipping. 3D printing allows me to produce the objects I need myself without a lot of packaging effort.

8Long-term use and repair of technology
Even though I use high-quality equipment to produce my content, such as cameras, computers and microphones, it is very important to me that my equipment lasts a long time. I use my equipment until it is no longer repairable and avoid replacing equipment unnecessarily.

9Local purchase of spare parts
If I need spare parts for a repair, I try to source them locally in Germany first to avoid transport emissions and support local retailers. Only if I can't find the part do I resort to international suppliers such as AliExpress.

Together for a Sustainable Future!
As a YouTuber and technology enthusiast, I see it as my responsibility not only to review devices, but also to show the possibilities for repair and reuse. In my videos, I therefore address sustainable aspects, restore old technology and inspire others to save devices from being thrown away. Every repair and every sustainable use of technology helps to conserve resources and reduce the ecological footprint. I invite you to join me on this journey for more environmental protection in the technology industry.
